History:

WMU began its partnership with Christ University in 1997 and has been successfully working with students from Christ for more than 20 years. Now, WMU is offering its MBA program for Christ University students. The program’s integrated approach, flexibility and opportunity to discover your path in business, make it particularly attractive.

Our students are interning and getting permanent job offers at great companies such as Kellogg, Bank of America, Cargill, USAA and Siemens.

Program:

Year 1 in CHRIST (Deemed to be University) + Year 2 in WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY International Exposure-MBA from an AACSB-accredited institution

• Three trimesters in CHRIST (Deemed to be University)

• One year in WMU, USA

• Opportunity to do optional Practical Training-12 months (OPT)

• Work While Studying-20 hours /week


This program offers a dual degree option with MBA from CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and MBA from Western Michigan University, USA, through credit transfer facility. Students will spend the initial 12 months at the CHRIST (Deemed to be University) main campus and complete the entire first year MBA curriculum including an internship. Students then visit the WMU campus in the US and stay for the duration of 12 months. Students will obtain two degrees from two universities in two years with an international exposure of 9 months or more in the USA. Students may also extend their U.S. degree completion if desired.

Students enrolling at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), for this program will be doing the first year of their MBA courses at CHRIST Institute of Management. The second year, consisting of seven courses (21 credits) will be completed at the Haworth College of Business in the United States. Students can choose their three electives from the following disciplines: Computer Information Systems, Finance, Management and Marketing . Students who take three electives from one area get a specialization in that area. Students who take three electives from more than one discipline (e.g., one elective in finance and two in management) will achieve a general business MBA.

OPT (Optional Practical Training)

Optional Practical Training is a benefit available to students who are completing a degree in the U.S. and who have been lawfully enrolled on a full-time basis for at least one academic year. OPT is intended to provide hands-on practical work experience complementary to the academic program. An F-1 Student is eligible for a maximum of 12 months. OPT is very flexible. The employment can be anywhere in the U.S. and can be for any company or organization as long as it is related to the field of study and appropriate to the degree level. OPT employment can be paid or unpaid.

Accommodations

Students are responsible for finding their own housing. There are several apartment buildings conveniently located near Western Michigan University.

US Visa

Obtaining a visa is the student’s responsibility. However, all documents required for transfer to WMU will be provided by CHRIST (Deemed to be University).

Note: Students must have GMAT and TOEFL Score by January 15, 2020 (Valid Passport is required).
