Introduction

The Department of Hotel Management started in the year 1991, with the objective to recognize and prepare students to join the hotel and hospitality industry. The four year professional degree programme is designed to develop abilities in both the operational domain of a hotel, initiate hospitality research and the overall discipline of management..\r\nThe academics of hotel management focuses on the core aspects of hospitality with equal importance on applied research and management subjects for overall entrepreneurial and holistic growth of the primary stakeholder. Industry interface is a key aspect of the professional growth of the students where experts from various business share and mentor ideas. The programme includes six months of internship opportunities in both operational and managerial fields\r\nThe programme has its own training and placement cell which monitors the career progression of the students and the placements till date has been 100%. The department has been consistently ranked among the top 10 hospitality institutes in the country by reputed magazines and survey agencies.
